Piedras blancas lighthouse tourPiedras Blancas Lighthouse Tours :: Cambria. (28 miles north) can only be visited on a tour and it is definitely worth the effort to make a reservation. It began service in 1875 and is one of three tall seacoast lighthouses built in California. It is spectacularly located on the rugged pacific coast. Tours are offered Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, excluding Federal holidays. Meet at the former Piedras Blancas Motel, located 1.1 miles north of light station at 9:45 a.m. Tour leaves at 10:00 a.m. Do not wait at the gate to the lighthouse. $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-17, and free for children 5 and under. Special arrangements must be made for groups of 10 or more - call 927-7361. Tour fees are $10 per person, ages 6 -17 $5, under age 5 free. Click here for more info

The 10K (6.2 miles) race course runs along the water’s edge from Morro Rock to the Cayucos Pier, one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in California.
